As long as the fountain is flowing and not a stagnant pool, I don't think you need to worry about mosquitoes, etc.
Hi Jess-it's Melanie (Dickerson) Mooney. I just noticed this blog off of Sarah's, and I'm sure that my mom would be happy to know that she's teaching kids about bug repellant. LOL, too cute!
